Golf Dress Code
- Ladies: Tailored slacks, Capri pants, shorts, skorts, or golf skirts are required. Shorts, skirts, and skorts must be no shorter than four inches above the knee. Tops must be tucked in unless specifically designed to be worn outside the waistband, and sleeveless tops must be collared. Tops with sleeves must have a collar or high neck
- Gentlemen: Cargo shorts, lacrosse shorts, tennis shorts, bicycle shorts, bathing suits, and denim are prohibited. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, collared shirts are required; long sleeve turtlenecks or mock turtlenecks are permitted in cooler months. Caps, hats, or visors must be worn forward. Inappropriate or offensive wording on clothing is not allowed. Proper soft spike golf shoes are required; consult the Professional Staff or Locker Room Attendant regarding acceptable spikes.
Dining Areas Dress Code
Denim, sweatshirts, tee shirts, running shoes, sneakers, and men’s sandals are not permitted in the Clubhouse. Hats should not be worn inside. Dress codes are as follows:
- Ladies: Dresses, Skirts, Dress Slacks are to be worn in the Main Dining Room. Outfits should be elegant and suitable for a formal dining setting. Jackets are not required for women, but the overall look should align with the refined ambiance of the room.

Gentlemen (14+) should wear long-sleeved collared shirt required. Jackets must be worn on Wednesday's to attend Steak Night.
Special Events: Jacket and tie may are required - Casual dining is available every day except Wednesday, which requires the "Dress" code.
Tennis Dress Code
- Men: Collared shirts required; no sleeveless shirts.
- Women: Tennis tank tops are permitted if they do not rise above the waistline. Junior members 18 & under may wear tennis tee shirts. Gym shorts, running shorts, or bathing attire are not allowed. Appropriate flat-soled tennis shoes are required for Har-Tru courts.
Platform Tennis Dress Code
- Tennis sneakers and appropriate athletic attire are required. Sweat suits, jeans, and other inappropriate clothing are prohibited.

Pace of Play
All groups must complete 18 holes within four hours. Please maintain a brisk pace of play and ensure there is no gap between your group and the one ahead. If any group falls behind and a one-hole gap opens up, they should pick up the pace. Lagging groups must allow the following group to play through, and the following group should assert this right to maintain pace throughout the course.
General Facility Policies
Parking Lot: Please use valet service for safety and convenience.
Cell Phones: Cell phone calls are prohibited in buildings and outdoor dining areas except in emergencies. If you must take a call in other outdoor areas, keep it brief, speak quietly, and keep your phone on silent mode.
Guests: Guests may use locker room facilities only if accompanied by a member of the applicable classification. Guests are not permitted to use exercise equipment.
Golf Course
Play 18 holes in no more than four hours. Maintain a brisk pace, avoid gaps between groups, and allow faster groups to play through. Replace divots, rake bunkers, and speak quietly near other players. Familiarize yourself with the USGA Rule Book; prohibited golf clubs or balls are banned in tournaments. Keep carts at least 50 feet from greens, drive in the rough when possible, and avoid driving on tees. Carts are not allowed in the parking lot.
Electronic Devices
Phone Calls - Except in a true emergency, cell phone calls are prohibited in all buildings and outdoor dining areas at the Club. Cell phone calls are strongly discouraged but permitted in other outdoor areas of the Club. Please be courteous to your fellow members and keep all calls short and speak quietly. Texting - Texting is strongly discouraged throughout the Club facilities. If you must send a text, please be discreet and limit texting to the bare minimum.
Smoking Policy
No Smoking or Vaping - Pursuant to New York state and local laws, smoking is prohibited in any building at the Club, at the pool and in any of the outside dining venues designated as service areas. With the exception of the pool, smoking is permitted outside Club buildings. However, please be courteous to your fellow members. Please avoid smoking close to open doors or close to non-smoking members. Smoking or vaping of cannabis is prohibited on Club premises.
The following policies are designed to insure maximum enjoyment while assuring the standards and tradition held by the Plandome Country Club.
